Chennai 27th April 2021: Colors Tamil, the youngest GEC of Tamil Nadu, admired for its alluring line-up of women-centric narratives, launches yet another enthralling show around a young girl – Bommi B.A, B.L. The brand new fiction show promises to keep audience engaged with its compelling storyline that is set to bring out the deeply rooted prejudice and bias against women in our country. Starting from 3rdof May 2021, Bommi B.A, B.L will be aired at 6:30 PM between Monday to Saturday on Colors Tamil.
The story revolves around the social injustice that women suffer in a conservative male-dominant society. The struggle starts when an eight-year-old Bommi (played by Aura Bhatnagar) is being married off to a 60-year-old man. She then encounters grave injustice and social discrimination which cripples her wings as a slave to her 60-year-old husband. Life takes a dramatic turn when she meets Anirudh (played by Pravisht Mishra), a London-returned barrister, who is practical and liberal in nature. Anirudh becomes Bommi’s husband and helps her to get out of this gloomy tradition of social discrimination. This leads to a journey where Bommi goes on to becomes a Barrister and she challenges the system with her tough and thought-provoking arguments. Will Bommi and Anirudh be able to finally rebel against the age-old traditions and norms, thereby paying a way for a social revolution? Watch out for what happens next.
